Post subject: What if Mary had said no? |
|
|
December 8,
2004 was be the 150th anniversary of the Immaculate Conception.
According to the dogmatic proclamation Ineffabilis Deus made by the
Roman Church in 1854 Mary was born (preserved) without sin because God
"prepared for his only- begotten Son a mother..."
Considering this, Catholics should consider this question.
What if Mary had said no.
Would God then be stuck with this sinless person walking around with
nothing to do.
Or perhaps she couldn't say no, therefore, making all of Salvation
history the biggest con-job ever committed and making Mary little more
than a sacred cow.
I prefer this answer: In 1854 the Roman Church committed heresy
when it tried to take away the dignity and free will from the real
Mary. That it began down the long dirty road of making the Whore of
Babylon co-God. As was predicted by God's Son, there would come a time
when "false prophets will appear, performing signs and wonders so great
as to mislead even the chosen if that were possible." (Matthew 24:24)
Or as Jesus warned through John's Revelation "You have turned aside
from your early love. Keep firmly in mind the heights from which you
have fallen. Repent, and return to your former deeds. If you do not
repent I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. But
you have this much in your favor: you detest the practices of the
Nicolaitans, just as I do." (Rev 2:4-6) (Nicolatians" perhaps the
impostors...) Note from
the Catholic New American Bible)
I believe the Church is now inundated with the weeds Jesus spoke of
in his parable where an enemy comes and sows bad seed. The servants
come to the landowner when the weeds begin to appear wanting to know if
they should remove them right then but they were told - no. "Pull up
the weeds and you might take the wheat along with them. Let them grow
together until harvest. Then at harvest time I will order the
harvesters, first collect the weeds" and then burn them. (Matthew
13:29-30)
The beauty of the real Mary is that she was simple and did nothing
out of the ordinary for a woman. Her greatest deed was to say YES to
God. Something all people of all times have the ability and the
obligation to do. To give God justice.
Now what of this Church of Rome? Does it still produce good fruit or is
it choking to death on weeds? I believe Jesus answered that one too,
"By their fruit so shall you know them." |

| Bad? How so.
Are you saying Salvation History would have failed if this one human
had said no? |
